Dayton Ohio?

Mead Paper was a client of mine, based in Dayton, Ohio which was a round trip in a day from LaGuardia, typically. One time I stayed overnight so I gave Bob Brust a call for a visit. It was a balmy summer night. He fed me some vodkas on his porch. It was a delightful evening, made more so by the talk about EPMH and the vodka buzz. It doesn’t take me much. Bob went into the house for something, and few moments later my bladder told me it was time. I think I was sitting on the porch steps – this was the ’70s- got up to go into the house for the bathroom. I aimed for the front door, my GPS and Laser designators were working fine, but the gyroscopes in my brain and feet were not in sync. I got up an started to walk ever faster and though my eyes were headed for the door my feet were headed for the wall. Though the stairs were only a few feet to the door the velocity I picked up was astonishing. By the time I reached the house I was at terminal speed and smacked the wall three feet from the door. Despite that, when I drink I am still loyal to vodka because that’s the kind of guy I am.
